In My Own Words

I am a writer with two publications – “Sales 101: What Everyone Should Know About Sales” and “Jungle Dance”. I started writing poems and short stories from an early age and whilst an undergraduate student at the University of Ghana, shared some of my work on radio. I published my first book in 2017.

I wrote “Sales 101” as my contribution to the Marketing profession as I have spent most of my professional career as a Marketing Practitioner, holding senior management positions in the airline industry, media, and textile manufacturing.

My second publication – “Jungle Dance”, reflects on close to two decades of experience in the corporate world. I tell the story of two women and how they navigate life, love, corporate politics, and their own internal struggles.

Rocky's Musings

What a year it’s been! I wind down this milestone year with a lot of gratitude and look forward to the future with hope. Hope. The future is as bright as the promises of God. I used to have a T-shirt....

One minute, two minutes, three minutes…. five hundred and twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes. By the end of the year, that is how many minutes we would have spent – living, working, sleeping, and doing whatever else we have been up....

In March 2023, I turned forty. I had been looking forward to it since I turned thirty -nine! Naturally. This is despite me promising myself that I would be staying thirty-five forever. Thirty-five was supposed to be my default age. Someone....

My Story

My journey in the business world has been interesting. With a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and just the dogged desire to succeed, I stepped into the world of work not sure about how things will pan out. I started out in customer service and then moved into sales. I have transitioned from the frontline to the strategic level and my experiences have been diverse and rich.

Every step that has brought me from the intern who later became the General Manager of an airline’s General Sales Agency and then moving on into media and later textile manufacturing is worth a chapter in my unfolding story. Mine is a story of many parts including how I combine my commitments to family, work, Christian ministry, and community service.

My family is my oasis of peace. My children are my legacy. I believe writing is my superpower and I am committed to using it to impact my world.

Welcome to my world!
